The lithuanian flag was adopted in 1918. It is composed of three horizontal bands of equal sizes, yellow, green and red.
These are the most used colors in flok arts et especially in traditional costumes.
Yellow represents the sun, green for the beauty of the Lithuanian nature and red is reminiscent the blood shed for the Homeland.
