Little trip in Lithuania

Today, we made a little trip with the ESN to visit Lithuania. Firstly, we went to Trakai and then to Vilnius.

Trakai is an old medieval city and the castle is built on an island. While we were there, the lake was frozen so we could walk on it. We liked the feeling of walking on a frozen lake, it was a bit hazardous.

The castle of Trakai is very interesting and surprising. Moreover, the climate with the snow give a fantastic character to the castle. Beside of this one, we discovered many things from 14th century like money, weapons and clothes of soldiers.

There were also animations with for example special effects, cartoons that looked like real and models representing the characters of old times.

Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania, with more than 574,000 inhabitants, the most popular city in the country.

In Vilnius, we found Esaip students who are on Erasmus in this city, they made us discover the city. We definitely enjoyed the visit of a beautiful church, located in the city center, which is quite impressive.
